Innovation of Biomass Crusher by Application of Hardfacing Layers

This paper presents the innovation possibilities of crushers functional parts and results layers’ renovation analyses surfaces worn by biomass crusher hammers. The hammers made Hardox 400 material were renovated manual arc welding method (welded with a filled wire electrode its own protection). As an additive material, Lincore 60-O tubular from Lincoln Electric was used. quality weld layers assessed on metallographic sections, where presence internal defects monitored, microstructures welds identified. In addition to analysis, microhardness in terms EN ISO 9015-2 assessed. Based performed experiments, it is suitable for recommend chain replacement shaped weldment weldability which very good, make at least one hardfacing layer surfaces. With this innovation, service life crushing segment could be extended more than ten-fold.
